Linda Yarbough Shaw, became a KidzArt franchisee in 2001.  In fact, she was the first in the KidzArt network that is now in hundreds of communities in 27 states and 11 countries.  Originally establishing classes in the Union County NC area and recently expanding into Charlotte NC her franchise is now called KidzArt Charlotte.  Since her beginning, KidzArt has taught over 4120 children in the area and has become known as a premier art enrichment provider.  In 2008 Linda was invited to the White House for her part as a board member of Flags Across the Nation which promoted patriotism through the arts.  In 2007 KidzArt awarded her the Business Excellence Award. Earlier, in 2004 she earned an International Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year Award.
